Gina Doggett is a journalist who worked for Paris-based news agency Agence France-Presse for more than 30 years before retiring to the central French town of Amboise, where she has a small house on the Loire River. Her years in Paris were delightfully interrupted by a four-year stint in Rome, working as AFP’s anglophone correspondent covering Italian politics, art, cinema and fashion.
Her love of France began with a visit to the Loire with her family when she was a teenager, spending two weeks exploring the Valley and its famous chateaux.
